# Control Room

A daily summary, a feed of what changed across your ad accounts, your budget proposals and Autopilot — so you know where to look and what to do next.

**Control Room** is the page to open first each morning. Instead of asking you to go looking for problems, it brings you a short feed of what is worth your attention: a daily summary, unusual performance, tired creatives, and the changes made in your ad accounts.

It becomes available once at least one ad channel is connected. It has three tabs: **Feed** (below), **Budget** — see [Budget management](https://docs.moleculedata.com/running-your-ads/budget-management) — and **Autopilot**, where Fritz suggests new Meta ads, makes them and uploads them, as far as your Autopilot settings allow.

Control Room used to be called **Insights**. Only the name changed; it is in the same place in the sidebar.

## It runs by itself

Nobody needs to be logged in for Control Room to stay current. Molecule checks your accounts **every hour**: changes in your ad accounts and competitor moves are picked up hourly, performance is checked several times a day, and creatives once a day. When you open the page, the cards are already there — and the same cards feed the **Attention** section of your [Email reports](https://docs.moleculedata.com/dashboards/email-reports).

## What appears in the feed

Each item is a card with a badge saying what kind it is:

* **Daily summary** — a plain-language recap of the previous day. It always sits at the top.
* **Risk** and **Opportunity** — a channel or country performing unusually badly or unusually well: a move of 30% or more (40% for countries) against **its own 7-day average**, using Molecule's attributed numbers rather than the platform's.
* **Creative** — a Meta ad that is wearing out: people have seen it too often (a frequency of 4 or more), or its click-through rate fell by a quarter or more in a week. The card names a fresher ad that is doing well, if you have one, so you know where to move the budget — or suggests a new variant. Only ads with real spend and reach in the last week are checked.
* **Change** — something was changed in one of your ad accounts, such as a budget being raised or lowered, or an unusually high number of edits in one day. Useful when several people, or an agency, work in the same account.
* **Market** — a competitor you track has launched several new ads this week. The card tells you how many, and how many of their ads are running right now; the creatives themselves are on the [Competitors](https://docs.moleculedata.com/competitors) page. You only see these if you track competitors.

Use the filter chips at the top — **All, Performance, Creative, Changes, Market, Daily summaries** — to narrow the feed.

## The evidence on a card

Risk, Opportunity and Creative cards carry a small chart of the last days so you can see the move for yourself instead of taking the card's word for it:

* **Performance cards** show the metric for the previous 7 days and yesterday, with yesterday highlighted, and the numbers side by side — for example **ROAS: 1.20 (usual 2.00)**, plus spend against its usual level for a channel.
* **Creative cards** show the ad's click-through rate day by day, with the recent slide highlighted, and its frequency against the threshold of 4.0.

Cards also show how confident Molecule is in them.

## When the Performance feed is empty

An empty feed is good news, and the page says so. A status line shows the day that was checked and the result — for example, that all your channels were within their normal range. If the check itself could not run, the line tells you that too, so an empty feed is never ambiguous.

## Snooze and dismiss

Every card can be handled once you have seen it:

* **Snooze 7d** — hide it for a week.
* **Dismiss** — remove it for good.

## How to use it

Treat Control Room as the starting point, not the answer. A Risk card tells you **where** to look; the [Dashboard](https://docs.moleculedata.com/dashboards/dashboard) drill-downs show you **why**; and the [AI Agent](https://docs.moleculedata.com/ai-agent) can help you decide what to do about it. See [Decide and act](https://docs.moleculedata.com/running-your-ads/decide-and-act).

A Creative card usually means the ad set is fine and the creative is tired — replace the creative rather than cutting the budget, and use [BuilderPad](https://docs.moleculedata.com/builderpad) to make the next one.

A Market card is a prompt of a different kind: when a competitor is pushing new ads, it is worth looking at what they are testing — and [Remake](https://docs.moleculedata.com/builderpad) can turn an idea of theirs into a creative in your own brand.
