# BuilderPad

Make ad creatives from a banner you have, a competitor's idea or your own brand — in every size your channels need.

**BuilderPad** produces ready-to-run ad creatives without a designer. Start from a banner you already have, a competitor's ad, or just your brand and product — and get the result in every size your channels need, ready to send to [Launchpad](https://docs.moleculedata.com/launchpad).

## Brand: set it up first

The **Brand** tab holds what makes your ads look like yours: your **business name**, **logo** and **brand colours**, plus a **brand kit** that the image models follow on every creative:

* **Reference banners** — examples of your existing ads.
* **Colours** — a hex value per role, proposed automatically from the last banner you uploaded and free to edit.
* **Logo** — what it says, how it is set, its colour and where it sits. It is never recoloured or restyled.
* **Typography** — the font family your ads use.
* **Price panel** — how your prices are presented: shape, label and value, currency and cents.
* **Rules** — one per line, for anything else the models must always respect.

**What the models see** shows the brand kit exactly as it is passed on, so there are no surprises. Save to refresh it.

## Two ways to start

### Resize a creative

Upload a banner or photo and get every size your channels need — same design, same prices. Define the exact output sizes you want (with optional labels), tell BuilderPad whether to treat the input as a **banner** or a **photo**, and start the resize.

### Generate creatives

**Generate creatives** opens a picker. Choose the flow that matches what you have:

| Flow | What it does | Use it when |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Fill** | Your banner, a new product, its name and prices — the same banner back | You have a design that works and a new product or price to put in it |
| **Remake** | Borrows a competitor's idea and rebuilds it in your brand with your product | You have seen an ad you wish were yours. Pick it from the [competitors](https://docs.moleculedata.com/competitors) you track |
| **Vary** | A new look for the same brand and product, from a description or one of your banners | Your current ads are getting tired and you want fresh options |

**Vary** has two modes. **Strict** keeps your colours and price panel. **Loose** lets the model choose a fresh palette and restyle the panel. In both, your logo, product, name and prices stay exact.

Each flow lets you choose the **model** that produces the image. The default is a good starting point; if a result is not right, trying another model is often the quickest fix.

{% hint style="info" %}
The earlier brief-based generator — paste a **product URL**, upload a product image or start from a competitor's ad, choose **Meta**, **Google** or both, and add an optional brief — is still available in the picker as **Classic**.
{% endhint %}

## Working in a project

Each run renders every size slot for your selected channels. In the project view you can:

* **Pick winners** — star the variants you like; they land in **Selects**.
* **Generate more** variants of any size.
* **Review flagged sizes** — a size marked "review layout" means the layout engine fell back to a faithful recompose; double-check its text and design.
* **Copy** — generated ad copy comes as editable, pickable, regenerable variations.
* **Edit** an asset — change the background color, give a plain-language instruction ("replace the background with a beach at sunset"), attach reference images, or mask a region — then compare **Before / After** and keep, discard, or try again.
* **Crop** and **Extract components** — extracting a product cutout and palette unlocks **Re-layout**, which deterministically re-composes every size from the extracted components.

## Selects: your shortlist, straight to Launchpad

The **Selects** tab collects every starred creative across projects. From there you can download them, or click **Send to Launchpad** on a single creative — or **Send all to Launchpad** — to copy them into the Launchpad creative library, ready to launch.
